this is great, but it comes at a cost -butwhen you die and each time you become completely unworldly and don't care about the material world anymore, effectively turning you into an NPC. This can be reversed with a three day ritual, but a third time and again would require you to fix something like a wish spell.

you can finally winShow the way, spending two actions to lead an ally through danger. Your move will still cause reactions, but not theirs. it's hard, but it's the kind of job you signed up for.
Pros and cons
Advantages:
- you really, really areReallyhard to kill. you're immune to pretty much anything the dragon can throw at you, meaning you're immune to pretty much anything. add to that your solid health pool, high AC, self-healing, and the ability to keep blocking attacks in response, and you won't go down easily. and then you'll come right back with one of your three or four abilities that will allow you to ignore being knocked out. and then you come back with a "say no to death" card.
- This whole fragrance is wonderfulscoring goals for the team. block enemies' line of sight, have some powerful counter attacks that encourage enemies to focus on you, and you can help your team move while you're just a main target.
- for a guy in armor, you're so bloody goodQuicklythis is not funny. not insidefight, of course, but being able to reduce travel time is fantastic in games that take care of this sort of thing. Travel speed can mean the difference between being ambushed and setting up an ambush yourself.
Disadvantages:
- you need yoursreactionbe ready to heal, counter and block damage at the same time. of course you can't do everything at once. that is, if anything, you think more when it isNOyour turn than whenIs, and it's a strange playstyle that takes some getting used to. Guess that amounts to a lesson in defensive options.
- this previous "no death for me thank you" card contains amajor flawexchanging one death for a later, more permanent one. While your defense is fantastic, you also have to consider how much hate you focus on yourself.
- last minus:the horse cannot go everywhere with you. I know I haven't upgraded Bayard much in terms of combat effectiveness, but Pathfinder is much better than D&D in terms of horse survivability, and both the increased movement speed and getting all the horse exclusives with the Cavalier are a nice bonus. Unfortunately Bayard is as big as it is beastly, so there are a lot of places you just can't get it.
