As the name suggests, Chicago-style pizza hails from the windy city anddates from the 1940s. It is a round pizza with a deep dish and the toppings are reversed compared to traditional pizza: tomato sauce on top, cheese and other ingredients below. It is traditionally baked in a cast iron pan.
